Save on school supplies with the 2026 Ohio Sales Tax Holiday
Annual sales tax holiday provides savings opportunity
The 2026 Ohio Sales Tax Holiday will take place from midnight on Friday, Aug. 7 to 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 9, an opportunity to purchase school supplies and other items without paying state sales tax.
During this year’s three-day sales tax holiday, the following items qualify for the tax exemption:
Clothing priced at $75 or less per item
School supplies priced at $20 or less per item
School instructional materials priced at $20 or less per item
