For the past two school years, the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) has offered waivers to the Child Nutrition/Food Service Programs across the United States, allowing these programs to offer all students, free lunch, at no charge. These waivers Expired on JUNE 30, 2022. This means starting next school year, 2022-2023, the Food Service Programs across the nation, including Ohio, and Northmor will return to normal, pre-pandemic operations. Families will once again be asked to complete and submit a current school year Free/Reduced Meal Application if they would like to see if their students qualify based on the income of all family members in the household. In fact, we strongly encourage all households to complete the application regardless of income level. The process only takes a few minutes and can help the district with funding in other capacities. Northmor Local Schools has chosen to not increase prices this school year but rather use pre-pandemic prices listed below. Further, all students will receive Free Universal Breakfast for this school year. The Food Service Department has a very strong positive cash balance and did not want to place an additional financial burden on families as we approach another school year.
